7-Eleven Expands Gulp Radio to 12,000 Stores by 2025, Creating One of North America’s Largest In-Store Media Networks
7-Eleven, Inc. has announced plans to expand its Gulp Radio™ network to 5,000 additional locations by the end of 2024, with a total deployment across more than 12,000 stores by late 2025. This rollout will include all 7-Eleven®, Speedway®, and Stripes® locations, making Gulp Radio one of the largest in-store media networks in North America. Currently available in over 4,000 stores, Gulp Radio enables brands to deliver targeted messaging and advertising directly to shoppers at the point of purchase. The network is projected to reach 13 million daily customers once fully implemented.
The expansion is supported by 7-Eleven’s ongoing partnership with Qsic, an audio retail media platform that leverages AI to create and distribute localized audio advertisements. Stores utilizing Gulp Radio have reported an average sales lift of 5-9%, showcasing the effectiveness of in-store audio in influencing consumer behavior.
Enhanced Retail Media Experience with Qsic Technology
Qsic’s platform uses advanced technology to optimize audio performance in retail environments. Its AI-driven system adjusts ad volume dynamically based on ambient noise, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. Additionally, Qsic provides detailed performance analytics, including timestamps for ad placements, allowing advertisers to track campaign effectiveness and compliance.
“Audio is a cost-effective way to engage customers and drive measurable results,” said Mario Mijares, Vice President of Marketing at 7-Eleven, Inc. “Qsic’s technology has proven its value, and we’re excited to bring this impactful in-store experience to more locations nationwide.”
Gulp Media Network®: A Data-Driven Advertising Solution
Launched in 2022, Gulp Media Network® leverages 7-Eleven’s extensive customer data, including insights from its 95 million loyalty program members. The network offers a closed-loop advertising system that tracks Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS) across multiple channels, such as in-store audio, gas pump screens, and connected TV.
With a presence in 47 of the top 50 U.S. markets, 7-Eleven provides advertisers with unparalleled reach, targeting consumers in real-time and driving immediate purchase decisions.
Retail Media’s Growing Influence
According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), 85% of retail media transactions occur in-store, highlighting the importance of effective in-store advertising. Gulp Radio’s expansion underscores the growing role of retail media in driving customer engagement and boosting sales.
“Gulp Radio has demonstrated its ability to optimize in-store assets and drive conversions,” said Matt Elsley, Co-Founder and CEO of Qsic. “This expansion reinforces 7-Eleven’s position as a leader in retail media innovation.”
